Introduction

Univerticalism is a new contemporary artistic current which tries to reveal the multiple and deepest aspects of Reality. We propose a different relationship of man and space; therefore we investigate and inquiry into the aspects and problems connected to Dimensions. The most recent discoveries in the field of physics – as the oldest Oriental philosophies – confirm that objective reality does not exist. Reality seems to be something more articulate and complex, which eludes the senses that human beings use to communicate and interact with the environment. Consequently, human beings have a limited and illusory vision of Reality. Daily life and problems hardly ever let the human mind open or disclose as a flower to the understanding of the meaning of life. Why everything exists, who we are, from where we come, where we are going: these are only some of the countless questions which philosophers, scientists and also artists have always tried to answer to. The more we investigate into life, the more life offers us countless questions continually widening our horizons. More answers we obtain, more humanity realise how small our knowledge of the Whole is. It almost seems there is not an end to the search of the fascinating mystery of life. Maybe there cannot be an end because life is infinite in itself and maybe there will never be an end because there wasn’t a beginning. Life simply Is. As if it were a never-ending movement in which everything transforms itself any moment, but where everything remains in its essence identical to itself. Every particle of the universe seems to be the expression of an infinite project ruled by its own laws, where these laws are the apparent demonstration of the absence of chance. Everything in life is an expression of intelligence and spirituality, an infinite and enormous richness, available to everybody and everything. In this kind of system, death – that is the end of any vital cycle – does not have any meaning because it does not exist. It is only the cyclical change from a material to an immaterial condition, and therefore transformation or death as we mean it is an illusion necessary to humanity as a catalyser of their own eternity, in an evolutionary energetic or cosmic process. Energy cannot be destroyed but it changes! The Universe and the Universes possess this peculiarity, which is a continuous cycle, an eternally identical circle where neither space nor time exist and where life without end is continually moving and changing. Art as science and philosophy are expressions of the human mind, vehicles through which man day after day adds some more tesserae of the infinite mosaic of the knowledge of Life. The Univerticalist Movement is an expression of the necessary renewal to offer humanity a higher level of observation and realisation of the “Reality” and the Universe. A level of observation which can make us understand how Peace and Harmony are the basis of our survival and how the lack of balance can cause great sufferance not only to single people but to the Whole. From this point of view we express a warning to the powers of the world – be they either political or spiritual leaders – so that they may have a new conscience, which does not only reach human limits but consider man and Earth as part of an enormous living entity, where human life cannot be and is not the only form of culture present in the universe. Therefore we invite all the leaders of the Earth with their great responsibility to cooperate in favour of peace and brotherhood among peoples, so that we can reach that physical and spiritual evolution which will put us into contact with other realities. In this context our art cannot be “art for art’s sake”, and it cannot be a container without content either. Today there is a great crisis of values which mainly reflects itself in art, so that even a doodle can be considered a work of art. Life is a design, a wonderful project full of intelligence, harmony, balance and love. It is within this context that we Univerticalist, extraterrestrial artists found the reason of our research. Life is also a precious mystery, where the evil done to other people or other things – as the environment – is an evil done to ourselves. To look at material aspects of life only is a strong limitation. For this there is no reason to own the latest car or mobile, but it is necessary to see, through the eyes of the mind and the heart, a greater richness, which is available to everyone; we just have to catch it. In the transformation we have spoken above no-one will bring the material aspects of life with him, the objects which have stayed with us, be they precious or not. This does not mean that the material aspects of life are not important, on the contrary it is also through them that humanity can evolve and grow spiritually. If only rich governments realise that helping the poor ones they would help themselves, if only we realize how much we can do helping the others with material things, renouncing a small part of our material desires, maybe hunger would disappear, maybe we would have a better and cleaner world and some more smiles in the face of all the children of the world. To do this we simply have to love life.
